Cameraless Images

What are cameraless images? They're images photographed without the use of a camera. How is it possible to take pictures without a camera?! It's simple. Use your scanner!!

Here are some images I've taken with my scanner:

(To obtain this kind of distortion, I simply dragged my hand to follow the lamp.)

The limited depth of field the scanner has is great for creating mysterious images.

Another way to create a cameraless image is by using photographic paper. All you need to do is put objects onto the photographic paper and expose it to light! The result will come out as a negative. This technique is called a photogram.

Try this technique with objects of different opacities!
